A mentoring program is a program that connects young males with positive male role models who can provide guidance, support, and encouragement.
The benefits of participating in a mentoring program include improved self-esteem, increased academic achievement, and reduced risk of negative behaviors like drug use and delinquency.
You can support the program by making a donation, volunteering your time, or spreading the word about our program to others in your community.
NOTHING! Yes that's right, it is FREE. We rely on grants, donors, and local organizations to keep on making a difference in our community!
This is highly dependent upon the mentor and mentee. The relationship can be from several months to a lifetime. We would expect the shortest period to be no less than six months and would be dependent upon the frequency of meetings. A mentor and mentee may agree to stop their regularly scheduled meetings, but may still reach out to one another on occasion for additional support which may occur many years in the future.
Of course! As long as the parents are okay with it, we encourage our young mentees to reach out whenever needed.
Everyone will benefit from having a mentor who will help them walk through life's difficulties.
The program measures its success by tracking mentee progress in areas like academic achievement, social and emotional well-being, and positive behavior.
Mentors and mentees may engage in a variety of activities, including sports, music, art, community service, and educational pursuits.
The program is open to young males who are interested in receiving guidance and support from a positive male role model.
